An opportunity to
experience a musical performance written by
composer JANUSZ KOMAN with lyrics by STASZEK
GŁOWACZ. The lyrics were inspired by the work of two Nobel Prize winners in Literature: PETER HANDKE and OLGA TOKARCZUK. A musical journey through various corners of the world and a look into oneself – these are the leitmotifs of this work. A world full of reflection, contemplation of the world around us, but above all, of where we come from and where we are going, confined within the time we have been given to experience here on earth. Full of the emotions that shape us. The entire performance is illustrated with film footage, which introduces another element of human perception into this performance – visual stimuli. The musical and poetic sensibility of this performance forces us, amidst the rush of everyday life and the rush of life that the world has inflicted on us, to pause and reflect on ourselves, to hear and see who we truly are and where the source of our own selves lies. Is loneliness a state of human decline or triumph? The program lasts approximately 90 minutes. |

Peter Handke
- winner of the 2019 Nobel Prize in
Literature. The Swedish Academy recognized him "for his influential work, which with linguistic genius explores the peripheries and specificity of human experience." |
| Austrian writer (born
1942 in Griffen) He made his debut with a provocative speech at a meeting of Group 47 and a production of the play "The Invented Public" ("Die Publikumsbeschimpfung"). Handke's literary work from the outset was focused on sublime provocation. A second, no less important, component of his writing was his literary political engagement. Here, Handke fits into the broader mainstream of political literature. With his intervention in the international debate on the dissolution of the Yugoslav federation in 1991, Handke's literary political engagement reached a kind of apogee. |

Don Juan
(sam o sobie opowiada). Błyskotliwy, przewrotny autoportret tytułowego bohatera. Opowiada całą prawdę o sobie, zadając kłam archetypowi cynicznego uwodziciela ustalonemu przez Tirso de Molinę, Moliera, Mozarta. |

"The Books of Jacob." For those who haven't read it yet – as an encouragement. And for those who have already read it – some memories. A great journey across seven borders, five languages, and three major religions, not counting the minor ones. The word "book" isn't sufficient in the case of "The Books of Jacob." It doesn't convey the literary breadth and vastness of wisdom recorded by the author. This is a book. A book that holds immense magic and takes the reader to a distant land on "a great journey, across seven borders, five languages, and three major religions, not counting the minor ones." It transports you back in time... Those who haven't had the opportunity to read it yet will have an additional incentive to reach for "The Books of Jacob." (Gandalf.com.pl) |
