Krystyna Pronko 

Born in Gorzów Wielkopolski, singer, composer, and music teacher.

She studied at the Faculty of Jazz and Popular Music of the Academy of Music in Katowice, where she obtained a Master of Arts degree and the Rector's Award from Rector Mikołaj Gorecki.
She made her debut in 1969 with the Respekt band at the 1st National Festival of Beat Avant-Garde in Kalisz.
She collaborated with Czeslaw Niemen (singing in the choirs), Refleks, Skaldowie and Czerwone Gitary bands.
During her studies, she sang in the academic Big Band, and in 1987-1989 she performed with Gustav Brom's big band.


In 1972, she started working with the Koman Band.

In 1973 she performed at the Jazz Vocalists Festival in Lublin and at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, where her interpretations of the songs "Why do you need this, boy"
(music by Janusz Koman, lyrics by Janusz Szczepkowski) and "Dead Landscapes " (music by Janusz Koman, lyrics by Grzegorz Walczak) were distinguished.


In 1974 at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, she sang a song entitled "Paper birds " (Koman-Szczepkowski)
 The award for the best arrangement of the Festival was given to Janusz Koman.

Two years later, in 1975, she won the main prize in Opole for her interpretation of the song "Let my heart rock you to sleep " (music by Janusz Koman, lyrics by Marek Dutkiewicz). This hit was also named song of the year in a poll by the prestigious music magazine "Non Stop".

She performed at the Soviet Song Festival in Zielona Góra. She performed at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole many times, including in 1979, 1980, 1981, 1986, and 1987. According to a poll by the magazine "Non Stop", Krystyna Pronko was twice recognized as the most popular vocalist in Poland - in 1975 and 1977.
In 1980 she was named "Singer of the Year".
She also sang several times at one of the largest jazz festivals, Jazz Jamboree, the Prague Jazz Festival and the Castlebar Festival.. 


In the years 1979–1981 she taught a singing class at the Academy of Music in Katowice. For a year she also worked with young singers at the Musical Theatre in Gdynia.

In 1981 she took part in the oratorio by Ernest Bryll, set to music by Wojciech Trzcinski, Koleda-Nocka.
She has led blues workshops for vocalists in Bolesławiec many times.

Since October 2001 she has taught a singing class at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University at the Faculty of Arts at the Institute of Music in Lublin.


 
In 1991, she founded her own record label, Power Music.

In the years 1992–1995, she was involved in music journalism, hosting many original radio programs, including on radio Gdansk, Krakow, Bialystok, Szczecin, and on radio Gorzow in her hometown of Gorzow Wielkopolski.

In 2008, she received the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture, Gloria Artis, from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Bogdan Zdrojewski.

Together with Marek Koscikiewicz and Marek Tysper, in the spring of 2010, she sat on the jury of the first edition of the TVP1 program "Sing and fight".

In 2013, she performed at the jubilee gala - "Opole! I love you!" during the 50th National Festival of Polish Song in Opole.

Janusz Koman

Composer, arranger, pianist and producer born in Lodz.
He began his musical education on piano at the age of 6.

At the age of about 13-14 he began his studies in the percussion class led by Professor Skowera at the music school in Lodz, and in the trumpet class with Professor Szejwałło.
He founded his first band in Łódź under the name:
47th generation of Piast and Rzepicha
in the club of the Lodz Sports Club, where the program was dominated by the Beatles and Rolling Stones repertoire.
At the age of 17 he went to Gdańsk, where he joined the Whisperers  band at the ZAK student club.

Debut on the professional stage - May 1967 in the "Red-Black" band.
From 1969 to 1972 cooperation with PAGART.
