Andrzej Zaucha

Born in 1949, Polish rhythm blues, jazz and pop singer.

In his youth he practiced kayaking.

At the Polish Junior Championships in 1963, the foursome he led won the bronze medal. In 1964, he won gold medals at the Polish Junior Championships in singles and fours.

He made his musical debut as a drummer in the amateur band "Czarty".
He later became a soloist in the group "Telstar".

In the years 1968–1971 he was the vocalist of the jazz-rock band Dżamble, with whom he performed at the Jazz nad Odrą festival in 1969 in Wrocław and recorded the album "A cry for sunshine over the world".

In 1971 he joined the band "Anawa", with which he recorded the LP "Anawa".

In the years 1973–1979 he sang and played in entertainment bands abroad.
He began his solo career only in 1979, when he played in the singing game "Gilded Braid" by Katarzyna Gärtner and recorded with the Koman Band, including "Evening on the river of events" (Koman-Kondratowicz), "In principle" (Koman-Czubaszek).

In 1983, Andrzej Zaucha's first solo album was released, entitled "All the little things are great".

The title song, sung in a duet with Ewa Bem, gained the greatest popularity from his debut album.

In 1985, Zaucha performed during the concert "A Song is Good for Everything", which took place as part of the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole.

Since then, he has been a regular guest at Opole festivals (starting in 1985, he performed in Opole every year until 1991.

He played episodic roles in the films "Love from the charts" by Marek Nowicki, "Special Mission" by Janusz Rzeszewski, and "Three days without end" by Wojciech Wojcik.

In 1987, Zaucha's second solo album was released, entitled "Old, new, modern", which included popular songs "We were meant to be together", "Be my inspiration" and "C'est la vie – Paris from a postcard".

At the KFPP in Opole in 1988, he performed the song "You were a heartbeat", for which he won a distinction.

The song became one of the artist's biggest hits.

At the festival in Opole in 1989 he received a distinction in the Premieres concert for the song "About the miracle in the dance club" and the award of the president of the city of Opole for outstanding achievements in song performance.

With Wieslaw Pieregorolka's big band he recorded the album Andrzej Zaucha, released by Polskie Nagrania.

In the early 1990s, together with Andrzej Sikorowski and Krzysztof Piasecki, he co-founded the stage cabaret "By ourselves" and played the title role in the world premiere of the musical Pan Twardowski (music by Janusz Grzywacz, libr. by Krzysztof Jasinski).

On October 10, 1991, after performing in the play "Pan Twardowski" on the stage of the Krakow STU Theater, Andrzej Zaucha and actress Zuzanna Lesniak were shot dead by her husband, French director Yves Goulais.

On October 16, 1991, Andrzej Zaucha was buried at the Batowicki Cemetery in Krakow.

Janusz Koman

Composer, arranger, pianist and producer born in Lodz.
He began his musical education on piano at the age of 6.

At the age of about 13-14 he began his studies in the percussion class led by Professor Skowera at the music school in Lodz, and in the trumpet class with Professor Szejwałło.
He founded his first band in Łódź under the name:
47th generation of Piast and Rzepicha
in the club of the Lodz Sports Club, where the program was dominated by the Beatles and Rolling Stones repertoire.
At the age of 17 he went to Gdańsk, where he joined the Whisperers  band at the ZAK student club.

Debut on the professional stage - May 1967 in the "Red-Black" band.
From 1969 to 1972 cooperation with PAGART.
